The City of Kennewick

Kennewick Historical Sites
"Winter Paradise" is the Indian name for The City of Kennewick. This is the perfect name for this very progressive city. Our 3 beautiful rivers, the Columbia, the Yakima and the Snake were home to the Chemnapum Indians, where there were ample amounts of fish to feed their families.

Kennewick Local Economy

Kennewick is the 13th most populous city in Washington and one of the fastest growing communities. Kennewick is also the retail hub for southeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon, with Columbia Center being the main shopping mall. The anchor stores are Macy's, J. C. Penney's and Sears with the Barns & Noble Book Store as well as many other smaller stores. There continues to be new stores coming in all the time. An 8 plex theater and a spacious food court are also located in the mall.

Kennewick City Commute

The cities of Kennewick and Richland are separated by a street and from the city of Pasco by 3 bridges, the Cable Bridge, the Blue Bridge and the, newer, I-82 Bridge. Columbia Park is the site of "Kennewick Man", the 9,200 year old skeleton. This is the park that hosts the yearly Hydroplane races.

Kennewick Community and Health Care

Kennewick has several medical facilities as well as Kennewick General Hospital, Tri-Cities Cancer Center, etc. The Cities of Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, West Richland, Benton City and Burbank are great communities to live and have lots to offer everyone.
