Pasco Real Estate and Community Information
Lewis and Clark camped at the junction of the Columbia and Snake Rivers in 1805. This area was called Sacajawea State Park 200 years later. The name was then changed to Pasco, not long after, and became a small agricultural city. The Columbia River and the railroad were the only means of transporting goods to other areas but now Pasco is a transportation hub with the, newly updated, Pasco Airport. The Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers as well as the railroad are used to move people, agricultural, dry goods, technology and products all over the world.

The City of Pasco is a thriving community of over 52,000 people, and still growing with affordable real estate price ranges. It is the fastest growing of the cities in the Tri-City area. In recent years there has been a large construction boom and is now the fastest growing city within the Tri-Cities. Columbia Basin College (CBC) is our local community college and is located close to our Tri-City Airport (PSC). Pasco has a large commercial area on Road 68 that has Lowes home improvement store, Wal-Mart, Walgrens, Yokes grocery store, restaurants, a theatre, gas stations, banks, and assorted shopping areas. It also has our TRAC center, RV park, hotels and much more.

This is a community that has many areas in which to enjoy all kinds of activities including 20 soccer fields, 8 softball fields, 7 baseball parks, a mullti-purpose outdoor stadium with state-of- the-art field turf & 10 lane all-weather running track capable of hosting state-level football and track events, a 50 meter pool, a professional indoor rodeo arena & a 3.1 mile cross-country course for walkers, etc. There are also 20 public tennis courts. and 15 miles of pathways, much overlooking the Columbia River, for bikers and hikers.

There are numerous health care facilities as well as Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital within the City of Pasco. Many resources for Senior Citizens are available throughout the Tri-City area.
